JST introduces the PSI Connector Series, a 4.0mm Pitch wire to board and wire to wire connector system.

Having a secure locking structure on the housing and low insertion force contacts, this system offers excellent operability.

For wire to board, the single row 2, 3 and 4 circuit housings and through hole headers are keyed. This mechanical component consisting of notches on the housing and header, prevents mis-mating and misalignment. There are 3 different types of keying codes A, B & C and in 3 different colours; Blue, Yellow and Red.

The 6 to 14 circuits are dual row and not keyed.

For wire to wire applications the components are available in 2 and 3 circuits with 2 keying options. The receptacle housing has a panel lock, thus making it suitable for panel mounting.

The current rating differs depending on the number of circuits and the wire size used, for example a current rating of 12A can be achieved when using a wire size of 16AWG with two circuits.
